About Berwyn
Berwyn, named after a mountain range in northeast Wales, is a Chester County community of just over 3,500 residents. Berwyn straddles Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships. It covers just under 2 square miles of land, and it’s one of the oldest communities in the entire country. With stately trees and beautiful green space, this idyllic community is a wonderful escape from busy Philadelphia.

Berwyn is home to Footlighters Theatre, one of the oldest community theaters in the country (and certainly the oldest in the Main Line area). Moviegoers head to the neighborhood Reel Cinemas 5 or take in a flick at the United Artists 16 screen movieplex and IMAX at the King of Prussia Mall.
Golf courses and driving ranges abound near Berwyn; there are a number of public courses and country clubs nearby. History buffs can take in the exhibits at Wharton Esherick Museum or visit Valley Forge National Historical Park, which are both located just over the Penna Turnpike.
Parks and Recreation in Berwyn
Tredyffrin and Easttown Townships each have their own Parks & Recreation departments, and both serve Berwyn residents with various events, classes and amenities. The Natural Land Trust’s Sharp’s Woods Preserve, the McKaig Nature Education Center and the Okehocking Preserve are also located nearby, and these family-friendly areas are great places to spend an afternoon to enjoy Pennsylvania’s natural beauty.
